As the name suggests, the 'Race Base' as it's also known, was the EK9 Type R in base form that was designed specifically for enthusiasts who take their EK9 N1 to the track and would modify them with their own choice of parts based on their personal preference. Thus, making the N1 a lighter and more driver oriented EK9 due to the lack of luxuries such as ABS, power windows, air conditioner, alloy wheels, the signature Red Recaro seats, Type-R steering wheel, Red Carpet & Door Panels.
